চবিতে ছাত্রলীগ কর্মীকে মারধর
চট্টগ্রাম বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ে (চবি) ছাত্রলীগের এক কর্মীকে মারধর করে রক্তাক্ত করেছে অন্য ছাত্রলীগ কর্মীরা। মঙ্গলবার (৩ মার্চ) রাত সাড়ে ৯ টার সময় বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের রেলস্টেশনে এ ঘটনা ঘটে। মারধরের শিকার ছাত্রলীগ কর্মী আবির আহমেদ বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের হিসাববিজ্ঞান বিভাগের ১৭-১৮ শিক্ষাবর্ষের শিক্ষার্থী ও চবি ছাত্রলীগের উপগ্রুপ বিজয়ের কর্মী। মারধর কারী ছাত্রলীগ কর্মীরা চবি ছাত্রলীগের উপগ্রুপ কনকর্ড এর কর্মী। জানা যায়, গত রোববার বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের আলাওল হলের ২৩৮ নাম্বার রুমে থাকা কনকর্ডের কর্মী ও বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের যোগাযোগ ও সাংবাদিকতা বিভাগের ১৮-১৯ শিক্ষাবর্ষের শিক্ষার্থী বোরহানুল ইসলাম আরমানের সঙ্গে কথা-কাটাকাটি হয় আবিরের। এ ঘটনার জের ধরে মঙ্গলবার রাতে শহর থেকে ট্রেন ক্যাম্পাসে আসলে আবিরের উপর অতর্কিত হামলা করে বোরহান ও কনকর্ড গ্রুপের আরও কয়েকজন কর্মী। গুরুতর আহত অবস্থায় আবিরকে প্রথমে চবি মেডিকেল সেন্টারে ও পরে চট্টগ্রাম মেডিকেল কলেজ হাসপাতালে পাঠানো হয়। গতকাল রাতে সরেজমিনে দেখা যায়, আহত আবিরের নাক ও পুরো শরীরজুড়ে লেগে আছে রক্ত। শার্টের পুরোটা ছিঁড়ে হয়ে আছে রক্তমাখা। এছাড়া শরীরের বিভিন্ন জায়গায় দেখা যায়, মারধরের ফলে জখম হওয়ার চিহ্ন। এই ঘটনার পর বিজয় গ্রুপের কর্মীরা ক্যাম্পাসে শক্ত অবস্থান সৃষ্টি করে প্রতিপক্ষকে প্রতিহত করার প্রস্তুতি নিলেও কনকর্ডের কর্মীরা ছিলো গা ঢাকা দিয়ে। রাতে ক্যাম্পাসজুড়ে থমথমে পরিবেশ সৃষ্টি হলেও আর কোন অপ্রীতিকর ঘটনা ঘটেনি। বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের প্রক্টর এস এম মনিরুল হাসান বলেন, এভাবে একটা শিক্ষার্থীকে মারধর করা খুবই মর্মান্তিক। এ ব্যাপারে প্রয়োজনীয় পদক্ষেপ গ্রহণ করবো। এদিকে বিজয় গ্রুপের নেতা ও চবি ছাত্রলীগের সাবেক সাংগঠনিক সম্পাদক মো. ইলিয়াস বলেন, বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ে দুইদিন আগে সৃষ্ট অন্য পক্ষগুলোর সংঘর্ষের ঘটনা ধামাচাপা দিতেই তারা আমাদের কর্মীর উপর হামলা চালিয়েছে। এসব বিষয়ে বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় কর্তৃপক্ষ কোন পদক্ষেপ না নেওয়ায় তারা আরও প্রশ্রয় পাচ্ছে। এদিকে কনকর্ড গ্রুপের নেতা ও শাখা ছাত্রলীগের সাবেক কমিটির সহ-সভাপতি আব্দুল মালেক বলেন, তাদের (বিজয়ের) একটা ছেলে আমাদের এক ছেলেকে কিছুদিন আগে মারধর করে। আমি তাদের বলেছিলাম এ বিষয়ে ব্যবস্থা নিতে। কিন্তু তারা কিছুই করেনি। পরে আমাদের ছেলেরা ক্ষোভে তাদের এক কর্মীকে মারধর করে।
